On Sunday I went to Hamilton to play basketball against Waikato boys A. I am in Tauranga boys B team. The first half of the first quarter was close being 12-6, but then we lost from and finished the quarter the score being 32-8. The final score was 108-32 to Waikato.
Our top scorer was Nick with 10 points. I got 3 points and 1 for 2 at the free throw line. Waikato had many great players that I knew, there names are Ezra, Taylor and Jacob. Ezra is one of the best point guards in New Zealand. He has gone the Australia to play two times before. Taylor has also been to Australia to play and Jacob has been in Waikato A three times which is not easy.
Waikato where paying a trap which got us stuck many times but we managed to stop it in the third quarter. We only had 7 players when there is 11 in the team. One person in our team called Liam went to Rotorua because the last game was there and he thoght it was in Rotorua again.
After our game had finished our Tauranga A team was playing against Waikato A. For some of the Waikato boys this was there third game today. Our A team started of really bad losing by 10 but then started to come back. We started to the end of the first quarter then left to go home. On the way back home we stopped at Burger King to get something to eat. I got a BBQ Rodeo.
The rest of the way home was great fun we played games and laughed the best part was trying to play the silent game but all the kids sucked at it. When we got home it was about 4:45pm. Everyone went home and had a great day.

Last night I played basketball with the Tauranga Intermediate boys A team. We had a great game winning 58-12 against OIS. The quarters were 8 minutes running clock. The starting five was Nick, Luke, Riley, Finn and Me. Our coach is Mr MacDonald said if we can ever hold a team to 0 points for the whole game he will buy all of us Burger King.
When the game started we were all full of energy and ready to start the season on a win. The game started great we were up 12 -0 at the end of the first quarter. Last year we were the worst team losing almost all of are games because we were the only full year 7 team.
In the second quarter are hopes of Burger King were lost because they finally scored a basket. The second quarter was the same story as the first quarter a BLOWOUT, because we just kept on steeling the ball and scoring. Wednesday 11 May 2011
